Course Structure, Modules & Key Features

The programme leads to a „Master of Science (M. Sc.)” and comprises 120 ECTS credits over four semesters. It is offered in full-time format and taught in English. Throughout the programme, you acquire in-depth knowledge of user-centred design, usability engineering, information psychology and human-computer interaction. A central focus lies on empirically identifying user needs, systematically analysing data and deriving evidence-based design decisions. The curriculum integrates modules on Human-Machine Interaction Technologies, Multimodal Interaction, Advanced Visualisation, Spatial Design (AR/VR) and Artificial Intelligence. In addition, supplementary modules such as Project Management, Product Development, Innovation Management, Data-Driven Decision-Making and Ethical Considerations address organisational, social and ethical aspects of digital innovation, linking technological expertise with strategic and responsible design practice.

  • A university or technical college degree (bachelor's or diploma) in a design or information technology subject such as communication design, illustration, web development or user experience design & content creation
  • General or technical college entrance qualification certificate
